Men and Women Can Still Be Friends...

…even after the relationship goes sour.

Tyrese was spotted having a nice quiet afternoon at a yogurt shop yesterday with his ex-wife Norma Mitchell and daughter Shayla. Tyrese met Norma while visiting London in 2002 and she dropped out of college & moved to the states with him shortly afterwards.

Problems didn’t arise until they were married shortly after their daughter was born in 07 and they filed for divorce 10 months later. However, Tyrese wasn’t completely taken to the cleaners (like Nas) because he was wise enough to make ole girl sign a pre-nup. In the divorce settlement he also requested that she take a vocational exam and seek employment so that she could support herself instead of depending solely on his money.

I’m glad to see that after their publicized divorce drama, they are able to keep it civil for the sake of the child.
